St. Petersburg, FLMunch’s Sundries, a St. Pete staple for breakfast and lunch for 70 years, is now up for sale. Owner Larry Munch, seeking to retire, desires to sell his business along with its surrounding properties. The diner is famous for its classic dishes that landed the eatery on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives in 2011.

Located at 3920 6th St. South in the dense, residential neighborhood of Coquina Key, a vibrant waterfront community just south of downtown St. Petersburg, the property is situated on an acre of land. The lot includes a strip center with multiple retail tenants alongside Munch’s as well as two single-family homes. The restaurant’s business is included in the purchase price of the properties.

With the goal to keep the family restaurant in operation, they are seeking an experienced operator who appreciates the nostalgia of the diner, the dedication of its long-serving staff as well as the profitability a cash-only business offers.

“Larry’s retirement is much-deserved so we are working to preserve his long-standing family business,” said John Barkett, Broker/Owner of Barkett Realty whose brokerage is representing the commercial listing. “We know the community can appreciate this effort—especially his very loyal patrons.”
